Northern Michigan has a plethora of summer day camps to keep kids happy and active this summer, but planning starts early! Below you’ll find a varied line up of Traverse City summer day camps that will satisfy a wide array of interests!
Old Mission Peninsula School - Camp Invention: Illuminate
For children entering grades K - 6. Leader-in-Training spots for grades 7 - 9 may be available.

Northwestern Michigan College - College for Kids - Traverse City
NMC’s College for Kids provides weekly enrichment courses for ages 4 to 17 including art, cooking, outdoor exploration and more.

Interlochen Arts Camp
Interlochen Arts Camp offers a variety of session lengths and dates for multiple age ranges (grades 3-12). Six-week programs are available for ALL age groups, four-week sessions are available for grades 3-6, three-week sessions are available for grades 6-12, two-week sessions are available to grades 3-6, and one-week "Intensive" programs are available for grades 9-12.
The Arts Camp and Arts Academy application deadline is Jan. 15.

Designed for students ages 7 - 12, this week-by-week Interlochen and Traverse City area day camp offers students a chance to experience some of the magic of an Interlochen summer at a reduced cost while remaining flexible to family summer schedules.

YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Sparks Day Camp, located on Torch Lake in Central Lake, MI, creates great memories and traditions for boys and girls ages 5 -10 years old. Their regular Day Camp hours are 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Grand Traverse Conservation District’s Nature Day Camp - Traverse City
Nature Day Camp designed to encourage curiosity in the natural world, allow exploration of natural areas, and promote a sense of stewardship in the next generation. All Nature Day Camp sessions include outdoor activities, while providing a unique combination of content-rich programming and complimentary games and crafts. Open to campers ages 5-11.

Pathfinder Day Camp offers four different age-group options: Young Explorers (1/2 Day Program for 3-4-year-olds), Explorers (4-5-year-olds), Discovery (5-9-year-olds), and Adventure (9-12-year-olds). Other than our 1/2 day program for Young Explorers, camp is a full day of fun in the sun. Register for one week or all weeks at a 10% discount.

The Y offers 5 different summer camps throughout the 10 weeks: Traditional, Leaders Club, Sports Camp, Science and Nature, and Art. Campers can mix and match camp weeks for a well rounded experience.
