More Than Four 5.04k Run/Walk

  • 401 S Union St Traverse City, MI US 49684 (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Join More Thank 4 Foundation for their inaugural 5.04K, uniting our community to recognize children battling cancer. Why 5.04K? The length of the run/walk event is 5.04K, reflecting the fact that only 4% of federal cancer research funding goes to pediatrics. The additional 0.04 kilometers in the race is meant to demonstrate how small 4 percent really is.

The More Than Four Foundation 5.04K was founded by Conor Rigan, who was diagnosed with Grade III Anaplastic Ependymoma, an aggressive brain tumor, at six months old. Now age five, he has undergone six brain surgeries. Conor invites his community to join him at the 5.04K to celebrate being a kid, no matter what tomorrow brings. 100 percent of net proceeds from the 5.04K will go directly to pediatric cancer research teams and supporting families dealing with pediatric cancer.

  • All ages are welcome

  • Wagons or strollers are encouraged

  • Race will not be timed

  • Race shirt is included for participants signed up by August 25th 2024

After the race, join More Than Four Foundation for a family-friendly after party at Brady's Bar patio until 3PM. For $15 a plate, enjoy a pulled pork sandwich meal and all proceeds will go to the More Than Four Foundation.
