Northern Michigan Climate Families is excited to invite you and your family to a special event combining nature education and the excitement of voting—just in time for the upcoming presidential election!
On Friday, October 25th, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, join us at the Boardman River Nature Center. We’ll be learning about nature’s most resilient animals, and then giving the kiddos an opportunity to experience “voting” for the animal they think best adapts to climate challenges.
Here’s what to expect:
Nature Exploration & Climate Resilience: Kids will meet the animals on display and learn fascinating facts about their adaptations to climate change. We’ll explore how each species thrives in the face of environmental challenges.
Cast Your Vote!: After learning about the animals, the kids will head to a real voting booth to cast their vote for the most resilient animal.
Art & Action: After the votes are tallied, the kids will have an opportunity to draw pictures of their favorite animals, and we’ll talk about supporting local organizations that protect wildlife.
Pizza: We’ll provide pizza for all participants (bring your own picnic, if preferred).
We look forward to sharing this FREE and exciting afternoon of nature discovery, learning, and voting fun with you and your family. Hope to see you there!
